Cross Over 04:07
Cold and clear, the mountain air is blowing down my memory. The scenery's dissolving into sound, that's all. Let go, and all alone I fold. So close a call; To follow and to fall. Wouldn't we all? Waiting in the dust, rusted up hoping to interupt. It's a set-up trying to live a life that murders us. I'm out of luck. The last word is enough as I crack up and down I deconstruct. Well I have come undone. Fly through the gates of time, memories unwind a lullaby of life. Hear it flash before my eyes. See the sound advice disappear and die. Feel my shadow and my soul Sinking down below where the Living never go. All those bones that I follow Become all I know, It's the skeleton I hold. He says "You just missed your mark. You couldn't follow through. Well I'm the doorway in the dark. So tell me, Who's following who?" I speak when I'm spoken to, Only when I'm spoken to. I'll do what I'm told to do. Just tell me what I gotta do. He said "Look me in the eyes and Know that I will follow you." Then I crossed over the line "Is it so you owe someone your time?" I'll never know. I'm lying though I just wish I didn't know.

Kid 03:16
Freedom caught my eye While driving by. She asked if I would Like a ride As it turns out we got nothing to talk about Sweet Independence kissed my hand Then tied it to a younger man Wide eyed and filled up with doubt. Now, when I go out, I gotta Drag that kid around. Kicking and Screaming. He's not the kind of man To hold your heart in his hands I dedicated all my younger days Getting the wrong turns out of the way. It only left me right here turning gray Falling in and falling out. What's the use in standing out? I've found it all works out the same No matter how you play the game. However you play it. We always had a plan. You made me feel like a man Who never learned and Turned into a kid again. I feel like a kid

Guilt 04:54
Monday. Sleep Late. 2 PM. Lied through that Dream of you Once again. Zero degrees. One final freeze. Tomorrow I'll Countdown the Days. I'm not afraid I'm just Tired of being brave and I'm half erased. Gray skies. Close my eyes But then a Vision of You and I Opens them. While I'm on my knees Everyone agrees I seem as happy as a clown. Don't try and tell me "Theres lots of fish in the sea" I don't care "Anyone you please" That ain't fair Stop telling me to Sleep around. Now that I got My head high above That sound, Don't know when I'll come Down. Cause I heard that Time Might Help Subside the hurt. So tell me why The guilt gets worse. It just gets worse. It's true. Cause I said it first. Now I breath out Smoke clouds As I wait. But some smoke Just don't Blow away.

Two lovers smoking up a small room and running outta air soon, Waiting for the end of love. With one heart beating like a stopwatch. Watching as the sky drops pointing out the stars above. Makes me think about Australopithecus Anytime I feel like this Drinking in my emptiness Under the same sky as his. Four million years ago, So many more to go you're Just another player in the pen Someone to fill the show. Like a soldier in a row or a drunk dancing on the banks of Chicago We all make sure to fold our Sunday clothes. Because we're children of Time and we're walking aimless down the line. Passing by just Like the falling snow. Makes me think about Australopithecus Anytime I feel like this Drinking in my emptiness Under the same sky as his. Four million years ago, So many more to go you're Just another player in the pen Someone to fill the- Show me a love I won't forget Wife or weekend I'll take what I get. Cause Life by Life and name by name We'll fade out, like Australopithecus And all of his relatives Once upon a time they were here And that was it. Four million years from now Will they figure out We're all reverberations in the same sound. Today you cannot know The sorrow that tomorrow holds. Wait up to hear the Midnight bells. If tomorrow will not tell you How much water's in the well, Roll on and see for yourself.

Maker 03:37
Well I'm in trouble if ambition pays off, I'd rather drift on without the engine. I got big dreams, it's why I sleep in. I'd rather keep dreaming shut the lights off. When did we agree to start deceiving ourselves? I know some people living on adrenaline, Trying to pretend they're not noticing The rhythm of their heart rate rising. So I open the shutter, let in the light as I Crawl out of the gutter. Tell me whats Another motherfucker like me matter. Frightened of the others and as Mad as a hatter; Laughing up the ladder. It's just a piece of advice I'll give In light of not thinking twice When I sold my share. At the peek of my vices Had a quarter-life crisis That told me I might just Be half way there. Life is just a series of Breathing in and breathing out The seconds in between our Breaths get to quick to count You're hyperventilating now Won't you tell me how you convince yourselves you Ain't gotta slow down? Slow Down Breath in And out Now. If you cant understand why You're not getting well, Before you get hung up On someone else, Take a good look In the Mirror when you Pray for help. If you wanna meet your Maker you only gotta Get to know Yourself.
